Save Our Children
Hello fellow listeners, colleagues, and visitors. I normally don't post a prologue to these podcasts but what-the-hey.
The past couple of weeks have been topsy turvy, working, looking for work, doing what I can to keep busy and
although it is all to easy to hole up in my apartment in the complete and utter comfort of isolation from the insanity
I see day in and day out, the more I realize the need to disengage from marginal society. For some reason I have been
having an overwhelming sense of morality these days. Maybe it's all the meditating, yoga, work, lack of work, who knows?
It's where I'm at, baby.
I kind of go off a bit about parenting in this podcast and how certain folks govern the well being of their kids.
The film Watchmen, although deplorable on so many levels, struck a chord in me having themes of child abuse and random acts
of violence that served as impetus for this somewhat self-revealing episode. I get a little heavy but not that heavy. There are
tracks by The Bird and the bee, Martha and the Muffins, and Tori Amos, that help lighten the occasion.
There are some minor spoilers so if you havn't seen the film, tune in after if you plan on seeing it.
Oh, and I refer to myself in the 3rd person, so there, I am going crazy! Enjoy.
